What is PLGA?

PLGA stands for Pediatric Low-Grade Astrocytoma. In common terms, a pediatric brain tumor.
PLGA is the most common type of solid tumors found in children and is the leading cause of cancer-related deaths in pediatric patients.
Over 20,000 children in the United States have been diagnosed and 1000 is added to that number every year.
The worst part of it all is funding for PLGA research has been extremely minimal. First line chemotherapy has not changed in 25 years! The PLGA Foundation is the largest, and only, non-profit organization dedicated to providing hope to children, parents, and families fighting PLGA.
All proceeds from iChase the Cure will go to the PLGA Foundation so hurry and come join us!
